Information Security (ISRM) Tools team is looking for a "Software Development Engineer" who is passionate to work on security tools and applications such as Web Protection Library (WPL), CAT.NET and Security Tools Portal. We are looking for a bright, creative, highly motivated SDE to help us build the tools that will ensure a secure environment at Microsoft.

The ISRM tools team has some high visibility tools and solutions which are very critical to Microsoft’s risk mitigation strategy. The Software Design Engineer has to manage the engineering of these tools and the role requires frequent contact with PM, various virtual teams and key business partners within Microsoft. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a history of implementing innovative solutions especially in security space with deep knowledge on designing and developing reusable and robust applications/tools.

Candidates for this position should be highly motivated, have excellent technical, communication, and team collaboration skills, a passion for new technologies, and an ability to quickly understand and pick up emerging technologies. In addition, candidates should have a strong background in software design, excellent coding and problem solving skills, a strong familiarity with .Net and web services technologies, and demonstrated experience working through the full product cycle from initial design to final product delivery. This position requires a minimum of 6 years in C++/C# development, as well as a Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in computer science or a related field. 


Minimum Requirements:

IT related qualification and/or relevant experience
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and rapidly assimilate new information/techniques
Ability to develop in C#, .NET Framework and MOSS, SQL Server and asynchronous programming
Participate in business requirement and functional specification reviews
Drive design reviews and code inspections in order to find defects early and ensure production quality
Ability to contribute to technology and design decisions for larger scale applications for both present and future state architecture
Develop high quality code in accordance with privacy, security, accessibility, and coding standards guidelines
Ensure high quality code through unit testing
Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills

C#
SharePoint Designer and InfoPath.
Web development technologies (ASP.NET, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, IIS).
MS SQL Server/TSQL.
Web Services, WCF
.NET technology stack.
