Management trainees are being recruited from all over the country for the current year, i.e. 2013. There are 558 posts for management trainees on the technical side. On the MT (Admin) side 82 vacancies are available for the applicants.
Salary can be expected anywhere between Rs.26, 600 to Rs.46, 500/-.
Online registrations are open from 12th March, 2013 onwards till 3rd April, 2013. Admit cards too can be downloaded for the ensuing written examination from 13th May onwards. The date of written exam is yet to be finalised and announced.
Eligibility criteria for management trainee
MT jobs in the company are not subject to common selection. Candidates who have not sat down for IBPS bank exams or the SSC exams are also invited to apply for the posts.Age criteria
- Candidates above 30 cannot apply for the job. There is relaxation in the case of an SC candidate by +5 year benefit. The same applies to an ST candidate. OBC candidate gets three years as an addition to the existing criteria.
- Candidates for MT (technical) with 65% of marks in a degree course in any one of the following subjects: Ceramics, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Computer Science (IT), Chemical Engineering or Mining etc. can apply for the post. Relaxation of 5% is there for SC/ PWD or ST candidate.
- 60% marks are required from an applicant of MT (Admin). An SC/ST or PWD candidate having 50% marks can apply for the same. The person can be an undergraduate or a MBA. Applicants having a PG diploma can also apply.
- Students who are yet to get their results can also apply. For MT Finance candidate a CA or ICWA is a must.
Selection process for SAIL MT Recruitment 2013
After clearing the written test candidates are required to go through an interview or a group discussion round. Written test includes in it Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Domain Knowledge, Reasoning and General Awareness. Duration of Domain Knowledge test and other test is 75 minutes each.Those who secure a minimum of 50% in every part of the written exam he automatically gets selected for the interview round.
The day of test is same for both the posts but MT (technical) is in Forenoon Slot and MT (Admin) is in the afternoon slot. Final list or the merit list of the qualifying candidates is made by combining all the marks.
