CISCO | Java Software Engineer


Requirement:
------------

- Computer Science/Engeering graduate/post-graduate from reputed institutes with good academic scores
- Good programming knowledge with Java and associated technologies
- Working knowledge with Unix, Linux & Windows OS
- Working knowledge with various IDE, Java plug-ins, creating and building Java projects
- Hands-on with entriprise application development with Java, Spring,Hibernate & PL/SQL is a plus
- Knowledge on design patterns and Object oriented design is a plus


Job responsibilities:
---------------------
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into state of the art solution
- Work closely with SW Engineers to design, develop, integrate and support applications associated with Cisco Smart Service offerings
- Author software architecture, design specifications, catalogs, test documents etc. (as applicable)
- Be flexible and adaptive to project dynamics & be self-learner and self-driver of assigned tasks.
- Ensure good quality delivery through innovative design, coding and testing (unit/integration) best practices
- Follow project defined process in deliverable and contribute to best practices & process to drive quality delivery
- Good debugging and analytical skills to be able to get to the root cause of issues and drive resolution quicker for complex and challenging issues
- Ability to research, propose and prototype new principles, technologies, tools and concepts and integrate them into the teams collective knowledge
- Provide on-time support to customer reported problems post GA of the release
- Promote knowledge sharing sessions in team and support organization initiative on innovation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to plan and execute his tasks with minimal supervision 
- Team-player, can-do attitude, will work well in a group environment while being able to contribute well on an individual basis
- Collaborates with global team on driving engineering responsibilities and keeps management updated on status, challenges & risks
