Mandatory: Cisco Catalyst LAN Switches 2950, 2960, 3550, 3560, 3750, 4500 Series and 6500/7600 Series; Cisco WLAN WCS, WLSE, WLC, Lightweight and Autonomous Access Points;
Desirable: Aruba Networks Wireless LANs.

Required Experience Total of 7+ years with Minimum of 3 years in internetworking experience with LAN Switching, WLAN, IP Routing Technology and Policies:
  • Network design, configuration, implementation, trouble shooting and problem solving;
  • TCP/IP;
  • CISCO IOS and CISCO WLC Software (both mandatory) and CISCO CatOS (desirable);
  • Routing Protocols:
    • Mandatory: OSPF, RIP, RIP-II, EIGRP and Static Routing;
    • Desirable: BGP and IGRP;
  • Other Protocols, functions and features:
    • IP Subnetting;
    • Differentiated Services/QoS/DSCP; 802.1p COS, IGMP, NTP;
    • Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), VLANs (IEEE 802.1p, IEEE 802.1Q, ISL), VTP (VLAN Trunk Protocol), Inter-VLAN routing, Rapid Per VLAN Spanning Tree+ (RPVST+).  Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP), GVRP (GARP VLAN Registration Protocol), EtherChannel, IEEE 802.1X Access Control;
    • Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, 10GETH, including the associated cabling requirements;
    • Cisco Power over Ethernet (PoE) and IEEE 802.3af PoE;
    • IEEE 802.11a/b/g; IEEE 802.11i (WPA2); IEEE 802.1X (EAP);
    • Radius, TACACS+;
  • Equipment:
    • Mandatory: Cisco LAN Switches and Cisco Wireless LANs solutions and devices (Cisco IOS Based APs and Lightweight APs);
    • Desirable: Aruba Networks Wireless LAN devices

Job Responsibilities The individual will be part of a team which is responsible for the configuration, implementation, testing and trouble shooting of Local Area Networks (LANs), including devices such as LAN Switches, Wireless LAN Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers and Wireless LAN Control Systems.
The SE team is dedicated to new and emerging services/markets, so they quickly learn and adapt to new processes, tools and technologies.
